Pasi Ronkainen, who started at Testimate on April Fools’ Day 1 April 2021, is an excellent addition to the software testing consultancy’s sales team. The experienced project sales representative for specialist work focuses on finding solutions to the challenges of new customers, in particular.
“To me, the most important thing is to find the best solution for the customer and a mutual understanding to serve as the basis for successful cooperation. The cornerstone of consulting is to identify the customer’s needs and use them to find the right expert to exceed the initial expectations.
Before transferring to Testimate, Pasi worked as a sales director at Etteplan MORE and sales manager at Q-Factory, among other positions.
Testing and software robotics
Software testing as a field was already familiar to Pasi. Over the course of his career, he has worked as a testing consultant and manager for a variety of customer.
Before taking up a position at Testimate, Pasi worked as the Chief Operating Officer for Botlabs, which develops smart automation by leveraging software robotics.

Feet off the ground
To balance out the challenges of expert duties, Testimate’s new Customer Excellence Manager regularly takes to the sky. Pasi Ronkainen obtained a private pilot licence in 2008. Since then, he has used flying as a regular means of forgetting about work and finding fresh perspectives and inspiration from among the clouds.
“I originally got into aviation through skydiving. At one point, it occurred to me that I might want to stop jumping out of perfectly functional planes and get into the pilot’s seat instead.“
