Cycling down a volcano – Testimate team’s joint trip to Tenerife

Testimate’s more than ten-year history includes many traditions, one of which is snow trips, both in Finland and in the Swiss Alps. However, the 2024 snow trip turned into a lava trip when more than 30 software testing professionals traveled together to Tenerife in the Canary Islands for a week of warm weather.

The week was filled with diverse activities that everyone enjoyed, and spending time together in larger and smaller groups. Some explored the island in rental cars, others on bus trips or ATVs – and some daredevils even whizzed down the slopes of the Teide volcano on enduro mountain bikes!

There was a breathtaking array of activities:

• private cruise on a catamaran, during which we swam in the sea and spotted dolphins and bottlenose dolphins
• a game of the local basketball team, where we met basketball star Sasu Salin
• ATV safari and hiking on Teide at sunset and under the starry sky
• swimming in the hotel pool, on the sandy beach, and in the natural seawater pool
• tennis and padel
• zoo visit and water park
• shopping and sun worship
• evenings spent in good company

Yes, the trip also included remote work – but what’s wrong with helping customers when the remote workplace was so wonderful!
